What Is Spiritual Direction?

Spiritual Direction is a unique spiritual practice, one that is vital for spiritual formation and growth. Spiritual Direction is also about presence. It is the act of slowing down enough to provide sacred space and contemplative listening to another. This spiritual practice allow for Self- realization and recognition of God in all persons and circumstances of life. Quality of presence can often have greater impact than quantity, but it requires reflection, openness, time availability, understanding and support. Emphasis have been placed on one-to-one spiritual direction; however, group spiritual direction is on the rise and growing tremendously.

Spiritual Direction Ministries works diligently to meet the ever-changing needs of the communities in which we live.

 

Spiritual Direction Ministries is now developing programs to provide increasing support to individuals and families adversely effected by our economic challengers. We have also become more involved in creating and sponsoring workshops and seminars to assist individuals in learning how to better manage their health, finances, relationships and much more to avoid personal ruin.
